LAHORE – Punjab government has taken action over the issue of theelectricity theft in the province.
Government on Tuesday decided to constitute a task force to curbelectricity theft in the province.
The decision was taken during a high level meeting chaired by Punjab ChiefMinister Sardar Usman Buzdar to review strategy on Prime Minister’scampaign to stop electricity theft.
Secretary level officer will head the task force on provincial level, whilecommittees will also be formed on division and district level.

Divisional committees will be headed by Commissioners, while DistrictCommittees will be led by Deputy Commissioners.
The special committees will also include police officials of district level.
