CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah in hot waters

ISLAMABAD – Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah lands in hot waters asSupreme Court takes up the disqualification petition against him.

As per the media report, the Supreme Court will take up on Monday(tomorrow) an appeal challenging the Sindh High Court ruling that rejecteda petition seeking disqualification of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shahfor allegedly failing to disclose his dual nationality.

A three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisarand comprising Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Ijazul Ahsan, will hear theappeal in Islamabad.

Roshan Ali Buriro has moved the appeal through his lawyers Hamid Khan andAjmal Toor, pleading the top court to set aside the SHC verdict anddisqualify the Sindh CM as member of the provincial assembly.

He contended that Murad Ali Shah holds the office of Sindh chief ministerdespite the fact that he possesses foreign nationality.
