India’s Rohit Sharma makes history in T20 international cricket

LUCKNOW – India’s Rohit Sharma has made history in the T20 internationalcricket.

He scored his fourth T20I hundred in the 2nd T20I against West Indies thusbecoming the first player in the history of the format to smash fourcenturies.

The 31-year-old (2,203) also became the second-highest run-scorer in theT20Is, trailing behind New Zealand opener Martin Guptill (2,271).

Rohit has, however, surpassed Virat Kohli to become the highest run-scorerfor India in the T20Is. The top-order batsman overtook Virat Kohli whileplaying his 86th match in the shortest format of the game at an averageslightly above 32.

Kohli, who has been rested in the ongoing T20I series, currently has 2,102runs to his name, at an average of 48.88.
