ISLAMABAD – National Security Council meeting has been summoned by PM ImranKhan immediately upon arrival from China.
As per the media report, Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meetingof the National Security Council to review the peace and security situationin the country.
The prime minister, along with his high-level delegation of ministers andadvisers, returned to Pakistan on Monday from his first official trip toChina since assuming charge as the country’s premier.
He will take the National Security Council meeting into confidenceregarding his China visit, where he held meetings with Chinese President XiJinping, Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Russian Prime Minister DmitryMedvedev.
The meeting will also discuss the prevailing security situation in thecountry following a Supreme Court verdict acquitting Asia Bibi – aChristian woman who had been on death row for eight years in a blasphemycase.
