ISLAMABAD – Indian Deputy High Commissioner J. P. Singh was summoned toForeign Office in Islamabad on Saturday where the unprovoked ceasefireviolations by the Indian occupation forces along the LoC were condemned. A22 year old lady was martyred in Bhimbar Sector by such violationyesterday.
Indian side was urged to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement,investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations and maintainpeace on the LoC and the Working Boundary. The Indian side should alsopermit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Councilresolutions.
The Indian forces along the Line of Control and the Working boundary arecontinuously targeting civilian populated areas with heavy weapons. In2018, the Indian forces have carried out more than 2312 ceasefireviolations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting inthe shahadats of 35 innocent civilians, while injuring 135 others.
Meanwhile, Indian troops carried out unprovoked deliberate firing oncivilian population in Bhimber Sector today.
According to ISPR, a mother of two children Munazza Bibi embraced Shahdatin the incident.
