LAHORE – Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has been awarded bail by the Lahore HighCourt.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday granted protective bail to HamzaShehbaz, the son-in-law of former Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whois facing inquiries initiated by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
A two-judge bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi heard the leader ofthe opposition in Punjab Assembly’s plea, stating that he feared that theNAB will arrest him.
Accepting Hamza’s plea, the court approved his protective bail tillNovember 13 and ordered the NAB to not arrest him till the next hearing.
