US National Security Advisor arrives in Moscow

WASHINGTON – The United States national security advisor John Bolton hasbegun meetings with senior Russian officials following Washington’sannouncement of its withdrawal from a Cold War-era nuclear weapons treaty.

John Bolton met with his Russian counterpart, Security Council SecretaryNikolai Patrushev today while he also speaks about the treaty withPresident Vladimir Putin tomorrow.

Meanwhile, talking to newsmen Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskovsaid ditching the treaty will make the world more dangerous and rejected USclaims Moscow has violated the pact.

He said it is the United States that is eroding the foundations and mainelements of this pact with its missile defense capabilities and drones.
