Indian External Affairs Minister responds over Pakistan invitation and it s embarrassing

ISLAMABAD – Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday hasresponded over the Pakistani invitation of inaugural ceremony of Kartarpurborder.

Swaraj has turned down Pakistan’s invitation to attend the groundbreakingceremony of Kartarpur corridor, citing “prior commitments, includingelection campaign”.

In a series of tweets, Sushma said she will be unable to visit Pakistan onNovember 28, the date scheduled for the ceremony. She added that Indianministers Harsimrat Kaur Badal and HS Puri will represent India on thehistoric occasion.

“Since I am unable to travel to Kartarpur Sahib on the scheduled date,Government of India will be represented by my esteemed colleaguesMrs.Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Mr.H.S.Puri,” she tweeted. “I thank HEMakhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi Foreign Minister of Pakistan for inviting meto attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kartarpur Sahib corridor onthe Pakistan side of the international boundary on 28 November 2018.”
