RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visitedHeadquarters Special Service Group (SSG) in connection with installationceremony of their Colonel Commandant.
The army chief, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) pressrelease, laid the wreath at Martyrs Monument upon his arrival.
Major General Abid Rafiq was installed as first colonel commandant of SSG,read the statement
Later talking to the guests including serving and retired officers and menof SSG, COAS hailed their unmatched contributions, especially duringcounter-terrorism operations.
