In Afghanistan, at least nine persons were killed and 22 others injured in an explosion at an Afghan military base in eastern Khost province.
According to provincial government’s sources, there are fears that death toll from the attack could rise further.
The nature of the blast has not yet been determined. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
