ISLAMABAD – The Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday said that Afghanistan didnot provide any information pertaining to the murder of Superintendent ofPolice (SP) Tahir Dawar.
In the weekly media brief, spokesman of FO, Dr. Muhammad Faisal said thatinvestigations of Pakistan are ongoing in the murder case of slain officer,however, Afghanistan has given no information related to the matter.
Referring to the recent tirade from United States President Donald Trumpagainst Pakistan, the Foreign Officer said, Islamabad tweeted in responseto correct the factual errors of the record, as Pakistan had extended itsintelligence cooperation to the US during operations agaisnt Al-Qaeda, headded.
Pakistan was aware of the direct contacts between the US and the AfghanTaliban which “we take as a positive sign,” Dr. Faisal said.
