ISLAMABAD – A world-class datacenter has been inaugurated in Allama IqbalOpen University today, a statement from the varsity confirmed. ViceChancellor AIOU Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood inaugurated the facility.
On the occasion, he said, “The data center will help to provide qualitydigital-based academic services to the students and promoteon-Campus-management services.”
He said the development would prove to be the stepping stone towardsturning the virtual university into a paper-less academy with the use ofthe latest state-of-the-art technology.——————————

“With the help of the data center,” he said, “we will ensure the provisionof academic contents to the students in digital form instead of hardcopies,” adding that the center will also work as a digital library for theresearchers and the students of higher education.
