MUMBAI – Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has become a saviour for farmers inIndia. Bachchan actively worked for Indian farmers who have hard timepaying off their loans. Owing money to Bank of India can bring a lot ofpressure and many farmers decided to take their own lives just to get outof this vicious circle.
On Tuesday Bachchan wrote in his blog that he had “taken care” of 1,398farmers by paying of their loans. He explained how such acts are a sense ofaccomplishment. In his blog he also wrote how he almost paid dues worth 40M rupees. “I shall wish of course to give these settlements, theseconfirmations that their loans have been paid off.” Bachchan wrote
He also arranged a train coach to bring 70 farmers to meet him in Mumbai asit will get difficult for all of them to visit him. The farmers will getthe settlement documents from Bachchan with zero loans to pay back. Theyare expected to arrive on 26 November in Mumbai.
