India China highest level border talks planned

NEW DELHI – High level border talks between India and China will take placeon November 23 and 24. The talks on border issues between NationalSecurity Advisor Ajit Doval and state councillor and Foreign Minister WangYi will take place in Chengdu, Sichuan province this year.

The talks come ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese PresidentXi Jinping meet, the 4th this year, on the sidelines of G20.

Announcing the visit, Chinese foreign minister spokesperson Geng Shuangsaid, “Two sides attach great importance to it. The two SpecialRepresentatives will have an in-depth exchange of views on border-relatedissues.
