*RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesdayvisited the Line of Control (LoC).*
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) gave the army chief a briefing on thesituation along the LOC, Indian ceasefire violations (CFVs) and response bythe Pakistan Army, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Later, Gen Bajwa interacted with the troops.
He appreciated their state of readiness and morale and the resilience ofcivilian Kashmiri population who are being deliberately targeted by Indianarmy on both sides of the LOC.
He said that lately there has been an increase in Indian CFVs and rhetoricof provocative statements by their military leadership.
“We are a professional and combat hardened Army ready to defend ourmotherland. It would be better if they realise this and place their stockin peace & progress through dialogue,” the ISPR quoted the army chief assaying.
