ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation andCoordination Amir Mehmood Kiani has said that the government was going tostart health insurance programme in the country and it will distribute 25million Health Insurance Cards (HIC) to the poor people in coming days.
Talking to a news channel, he said the government was going to establishfour new hospitals in Islamabad for facilitating the masses.
The minister said government hospitals of Islamabad had been facingshortage of staff since long time and we were advertising new jobs forfilling vacant seats. He said a nursing university would be established inIslamabad soon as there was shortage of nurses in the country and budget ofRupees ten billion was allocated in this regard.
He said the people would see improvement in all sectors and PakistanTehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government will put the country on the path ofdevelopment and prosperity. Replying to a question, he said previousgovernments did not pay attention on education and health sectors.
