ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has taken anew initiative for the Diamer Bhasha Dam fund.
CJP will leave for a private trip to Britain on Tuesday (today) in order toraise donations for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams.
According to details, the chief justice will attend fund-raising ceremoniesin London, Birmingham and Manchester respectively, during his week-longtrip.
A dinner is also being organised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) memberand Prime Minister Imran Khan’s close friend Aneel Musarrat in honor of thetop judge.
UK Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industries will also host a fund-raisingevent during the CJP’s visit.
Fund raising campaign for the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Prime Ministerof Pakistan Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund is in progress at a rapidpace.
According to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, over 7.839 billion rupees havebeen collected through donations by various individuals and organisationsand expatriate Pakistanis so far.
