*ISLAMABAD – Two Pakistani authors, Kamila Shamsie and Mohsin Hamid haveearned laurels for the country.*
*Both have been shortlisted for the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature2018 that comes with $25,000.*
They have been chosen for the prestigious prize for their books *Home Fire* and *Exit West* respectively. Shamsie’s seventh book won the Women’s Prizefor Fiction 2018 earlier this year.
Hamid’s fourth novel was counted by former US president Barack Obama as oneof his top 10 reads of 2017. Earlier, Shamsie and Hamid were nominated forthe coveted Man Booker Prize.
