Anti money laundering and counter financing session held by SECP

ISLAMABAD – The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan heldanti-money laundering and counter financing for terrorism awarenesssessions in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad in collaboration with USAID.

More than 500 professionals from the securities and commodities market,insurance sector, non-banking financial institutions and the Securities andExchange Commission of Pakistan attended these sessions.

These sessions were designed to help representatives of financialinstitutions understand the risk-based approach for the anti-moneylaundering and counter financing for terrorism framework.

It were also arranged for to focus on the Financial Action Task Forcerecommendations applicable to the financial institutions and the FATFmonitoring process.
