Pakistan summons Afghan Ambassador to Foreign Office, seeks written explanation

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Office on Thursday summoned Afghanistan’schargé d affaires in Islamabad.

Pakistan has registered strong protest over the inordinate delay and mannerof return of the body of martyred SP Tahir Dawar.

The foreign office summoned a written explanation over the inordinate delayand manner of return of the body of martyred SP Tahir Dawar.

FO spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal said that an official delegation was sentto Afghanistan to bring back the mortal remain of the slain police officer.

“We lodged a protest with Afghanistan over the delay in handing over SPDawar’s body,” he added. “We have demanded that his body be handed over toPakistan immediately.”
