Britain conditionally agreed to extradite Ishaq Dar: Sources

ISLAMABAD – British Interior Ministry has agreed, with conditions, toextradite former finance minister Ishaq Dar.

Additional attorney general informed the Supreme court that the UK InteriorMinistry had sent a questionnaire comprising 27 questions regarding thecase. “We have handed over the questionnaire to the National AccountabilityBureau,” AAG said.

He said once we submit reply to the questions, the UK authorities wouldsubsequently decide about extradition of Ishaq Dar.

In his remarks, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar said Mr. Dar would return toPakistan once he was assured that the justice would be meted out. Courts inPakistan are delivering justice, but we are not sure about understanding ofjustice near to Mr. Dar, said the CJP.

The court then adjourned hearing of the case for a month.
