RAWALPINDI – Jamiat-i-Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) slain leader Maulana SamiulHaq secretary Syed Ahmed Shah goes missing.
He has been missing from his house in Akora Khattak for the last three orfour days.
According to the claims made by his family, Syed Ahmed Shah was picked upby the law enforcement agencies, however, police deny having him in theircustody.
Mr Shah is believed to have discovered Maulana Samiul Haq’s body after hewas stabbed to death on Nov 2 and was also the first to inform MaulanaHamidul Haq Haqqani, the son of Maulana Samiul Haq, of his father’s death.
Maulana Hamid told a leading daily that Mr Shah had been missing for thelast three or four days, adding that his phone has also been switched off.
Mr Shah may have either gone into hiding himself or may have been taken bythe law enforcement or intelligence agencies in connection with theinvestigation into the JUI-S leader’s murder, Maulana Hamid added.
He said Syed Ahmed Shah was in Akora Khattak before he went missing and hadlocked the door from outside and had found it open upon returning whenMaulana Sami was murdered.
‘No one has stopped the police from investigating Ahmed Shah or anyone elsethey wanted. We had no enmity with anyone but people from the outside orinside could be involved in the murder,’ Maulana Hamid told Dawn News.
