ISLAMABAD – Shoaib Malik has rejected the suggestion put up by her wifeSania Mirza.
He had decided to put his newborn son and wife ahead of his cricketingduties as he announced on Monday that he will not be participating in theupcoming edition of T10 League.
Malik, who plays for Punjab Legends, and his wife Sania Mirza were blessedwith baby boy October 29.
Although India’s ace tennis player, Sania, wants her husband to play in theT10 League 2018, the Pakistani cricketer has decided against it.
“I announce with mixed feelings that I will not be part of @PunjabiLegends_#T10League to spend time with my family. This was a tough decision (spsince my wife thinks I should play) but I want to be with my wife and sonmore than anything else. Hope you all will understand,” Malik tweeted.
In T10 2017, Malik was the second highest run-scorer for Punjab Legendswith 191 runs in five matches at an excellent average of 63.66 behind LukeRonchi’s 197 runs.
