ISLAMABAD – According to a press release by the US Embassy in Pakistan, theUS envoy who arrived in Pakistan on November 6 to review key items on thebilateral agenda between the countries, underscored the importance of allactors in the region takings steps to advance security, stability andcooperation in South Asia.
She also welcomed the commitment from Pakistani officials to work towardsthe goal, the press release added.
During her visit, the US envoy and Pakistani officials also discussed theupcoming Geneva Conference on Afghanistan and joint efforts to advance theAfghan peace process.
Furthermore, Ambassador Wells met with Minister of Finance Asad Umar,senior officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Interior, andDirector General Military Operations Nauman Zakria, during her visit toIslamabad.

The ambassador also discussed opportunities to build business and economicties between the United States and Pakistan and explored other areas forgrowth in the bilateral relationship.
