PESHAWAR – Yet another son of soil has laid down his life while defendingthe motherland.

The funeral prayers of Army Captain Zarghaam, who embraced martyrdom whileneutralising an Improvised Explosive Device (IEC) in Mohmand, was held atPeshawar Cantt on Wednesday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman, Corps Commander IGFC KP LieutenantGeneral Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor, provincial ministers and largenumber of other civil military officials attended the funeral prayers.

The remains of the martyred army officer were sent to his native town forburial.

Earlier, Capt Zarghaam Fareed embraced martyrdom while neutralizing an IEDdetected at Mohmad Gat in Mohmand Distt. The 25 years old was unmarried andbelonged to Sargodha.
