ISLAMABAD – A 20% increase in the pensions of the retired pensioners hasbeen sought.
Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) has sent a summary to financeministry seeking 20 percent increase in the pension of its pensioners.
A total of Rs5,250 are being given to the pensioners of EOIB which are notample for the retired employees to fulfill their needs, so, at least 20pcincrease has been recommended in this regard.
According to sources, if the government approves this summary that was sentto finance ministry, then retired employees will receive Rs 1050 extra aspension.
