Pakistan Cricket Team departs for South Africa tonight

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan cricket team will depart for South Africa tonight.

Sarfraz Ahmad will lead the side during the tour that will open with thefirst Test at Centurion from 26th of this month. The second Test will beplayed at Cape Town from 3rd to 7th of next month, while the third andfinal match is in Johannesburg from 11th to 15th of next month. Accordingto PCB, leg-spinner Yasir Shah will join the team on Thursday next due topersonal reasons.

Pakistan will also play five one-day internationals and three T20Is on thetour. Fast Bowler Muhammad Amir has been recalled for South Africa Testseries. He was left out form the team in the recently concluded seriesagainst New Zealand in the United Arab Emirates.

Leg-spinner Shadab Khan, and openers Fakhar Zaman and Shan Masood are alsomaking a come back. Backup wicketkeeper to Sarfraz, Mohammad Rizwan, hasalso returned to the squad after his consistent performance in domesticcricket and for Pakistan ‘A’.
