India using sexual violence as weapon of war in occupied Kashmir: Pakistani Minister

*ISLAMABAD – Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari on Monday slammedIndia for using sexual violence as weapon of war in occupied Kashmir.*

*She urged the international community to play their role for granting theKashmiri people their UN-pledged right of self-determination.*

Addressing a ceremony in the federal capital, Shireen Mazari said thatIndian forces have broken all the records of brutality and atrocities inoccupied Kashmir and invited the United Nations Commission on Human Rightsto visit held-Kashmir.

She said that thousands of children, women and old people have lost theireye sight due to the use of pallet guns by the Indian forces in theoccupied valley. Shireen Mazari maintained that Kashmiris’ freedom movementcannot be suppressed by atrocities.

It is pertinent to mention here that International Human Rights Day isbeing observed today (Monday) to uphold human rights and throw light on theplight of the people being denied those basic rights.

This year, Human Rights Day marks the 71th anniversary of the UniversalDeclaration of Human Rights.The day is being commemorated in Pakistan andacross the globe today.
