ISLAMABAD – Finance Minister Asad Umer has given a two years deadline foreconomic revival of the country.
He on Wednesday said that the wrong decision taken by the previousgovernments are inflicting loss.
He said that the country’s economy was in worse condition when PakistanTehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government came into power.
Responding to a question, the minister said that the government imposed taxon people having income above Rs200,000, adding that the poor people werenot burdened.
Asad Umer said that the power tariff for over 70 percent poor consumers hadnot been increased.
He went on to say that difficult decision will be taken in first six monthsof the government, adding that several difficult decisions have alreadybeen taken.
The minister said that economy would be revived in two years and thegovernment won’t hide behind the IMF.
