Finance Minister Asad Umar breaks silence over media reports of his resignation, sacking

ISLAMABAD – Finance Minister Asad Umar has responded over the media reportsof his resignation and sacking by PM Imran Khan.

Umar on Wednesday has refuted the rumours of his resignation from the post.

Finance Minister Asad Umar said Prime Minister Imran Khan said that suchrumours are propaganda against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

He also said that PM Khan has asked me to continue my job.

Earlier, on Monday, PM House sources had also denied the rumours of FinanceMinister Asad Umar’s resignation.

PM House source had also revealed that the reports on resignation aboutfinance minister are not true. The Finance Minister has no intention toresign, added the source.

It is pertinent here to mention that the minister is receiving severebacklash as the dollar became uncontrollable and rupee faced devaluation.
