Model Town case: Sharif family land into yet another trouble

ISLAMABAD – New developments have been reported in the Supreme Court onModel Town case.

SC on Monday issued notices to 146 persons including former prime ministerand Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, formerPunjab CM and party president Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz incase pertaining to formation of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in ModelTown carnage case.

A five-member larger bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice ofPakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising of Justice AsifSaeed Khosa, Justice Azmat Saeed, Justice Faisal Arab and Justice MazharAlam Mian will take up the case tomorrow (December 5).

Notices have also issued to 146 including former provincial minister RanaSanaullah, former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, former defence ministerKhawaja Asif, former information minister Pervaiz Rasheed, state ministerAbid Sher Ali and Attorney General.
