ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court on Tuesday sent television anchor,Dr Shahid Masood, on a 14-day judicial remand in a case pertaining tosnatching of journalist’s cellphone.
The court had issued arrest warrants for the TV anchor in the same case onNov 28. Police today produced Dr Masood in the court after transporting himfrom the Adiala Jail.
The petitioner in his plea had said that he was deployed for coverage atthe Islamabad High Court when Mr. Masood, after hurling some harsh words,snatched his cellphone. The incident had occurred on October 29.
The journalist whose cellphone was snatched by Shahid Masood had also fileda case at Ramna Police Station in the capital city.

He contended in his FIR that Mr. Masood snatched his phone and deleted alldata that he had recorded during the coverage. “Shahid Masood threatened meand warned me of dire consequences,” claimed the petitioner.
