ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Thursday released its 100-day performancereport.
The report, which has been released as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)government completes its 100 days in office, states that Saudi Arabiagranted an economic package and investment coordination. “The Kingdomreduced visa fee by 85% for Pakistani labourers,” the report read.
“Relations between Pakistan and China were strengthened and ties with theUnited Arab Emirates (UAE) were converted into a long-term strategic andeconomic partnership,” the report said. “Pakistan was also accorded thestatus of a preferential partner in Korea’s economic developmentcoordination,” it added.
The report further said, “To halt anti-Islam attempts, Pakistan played aleading role in OIC’s efforts.”
“The groundbreaking of Kartarpur corridor was performed and meetings ofAsian Parliamentary Assembly were hosted in Gwadar,” it continued.“Nineteen memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed with fourcountries,” the report upheld.
Regarding the foreign trips of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, thereport said, “The foreign minister led delegations to four countries namelyAfghanistan, United States, UAE and Tajikistan in the past 100 days.”
“Meanwhile, high-level delegations of six countries and foreign ministersof seven countries, including Iran, China, Turkey and Uzbekistan, visitedPakistan. Top officials of the US and Qatar also visited Islamabad,” thereport stated.
