India’s true face exposed yet again

NEW DELHI – Indian government true face has been exposed yet again with therefusal to attend the SAARC conference in Pakistan.

India will not attend the SAARC summit in Pakistan, Foreign Minister SushmaSwaraj on Wednesday confirmed, emphasising that the Kartarpur corridorproject between the two countries will not lead to talks unless Pakistanstops sponsoring terror, reported NDTV.link

Sushma Swaraj’s emphatic “no” to attending the SAARC or South AsianAssociation for Regional Cooperation summit came a day after Islamabad’sinvitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and on a day two unionministers and Punjab minister Navjot Sidhu attended the ground-breakingceremony of the Kartarpur corridor in Lahore.

“That invitation has already been given but we are not responding to thatpositively. That until and unless Pakistan stops terrorist activities inIndia, there will be no dialogue and we will not participate in SAARC,” shetold reporters in Hyderabad.

Sushma Swaraj, responding to questions, emphasised that though ministersHarsimrat Kaur Badal and Hardeep Singh Puri were attending the Kartarpurevent in Lahore, it should not be seen in the context of dialogue that hasbeen suspended between the countries since 2013.
