PESHAWAR – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) Amir Maulana Hamidul Haq hasmade new revelations about his father death.
He said on Saturday his father, the late Maulana Samiul Haq, wasassassinated at a time when he was preparing to mediate for Afghan peaceprocess.
Addressing a press conference after a meeting of the party’s provincialleadership in Peshawar, Hamid warned against making any amendments to theNamoos-e-Risalat law, saying that his party supported other religiousparties on the issue.
“My father was extending moral and political support to Taliban and all thestakeholders had tasked him to mediate for Afghan peace,” Haqqani toldreporters.
