ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan says poverty alleviation anduplifting the poor segments of the society is top priority of thegovernment.
He was talking to Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program Dr. SaniaNashtar who called on him in Islamabad on Friday.
The BISP chairperson briefed the Prime Minster about the activities of theprogram.
Prime Minister said the government is preparing a comprehensive programthat would not only help cater the basic necessities of the poor people ofthe country temporarily but also play a key role to bring them out ofpoverty clutches.

He directed for a close coordination among different programs working tocope with the poverty alleviation challenges.
The Prime Minister also directed the BISP to finalize a program forimparting skills to the unemployed people and meet the food necessities ofthe families below the poverty line.
