ISLAMABAD – Federal government has decided to put names of 172 topofficials named in the Money laundering scam JIT Report on ECL.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced on Thursday the government’splan to place on Exit Control List (ECL) former President Asif Ali Zardari,along with other suspects in money laundering case.
Addressing a press conference following the conclusion of the federalcabinet meeting, the information minister said the government has decidedto place on ECL the names of all 172 accused named in the JointInvestigation Team’s (JIT) report in the fake bank accounts case.
Chaudhry further said with this latest decision, he hopes that the formerpresident and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman will now take the findingsof the JIT seriously in the money laundering through fake accounts case.
