ISLAMABAD – Planning Minister Khusro Bakhtyar has emphasized the need fortechnology driven and knowledge based economy to compete at internationallevel.
He was talking to former Federal Minister for Science and Technology Dr.Atta-ur-Rehman in Islamabad today (Wednesday).
The Minister called upon promotion of science and technology to provideinnovative and creative solutions for progress and betterment of society.
He said economic development of a country does not depend solely on naturalresources, but also on intellectual capital, quality human resource,development of industry and value added production.

He said focusing on high-tech manufacturing and exports will not only boostnational economy, but also provide opportunity to capture its due share inthe global market.
He said that the task force is aimed at chalking out a robust plan for aknowledge based economy.
