ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the shooting and suicideattack at a government building in Kabul on Monday that resulted in theloss of over 40 precious lives and injuries to many others.
“We express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved familiesand pray for the recovery of the injured. Pakistan stands together with thegovernment and people of Afghanistan in this hour of grief,” a foreignoffice statement said.

“We also reiterate our solidarity with Afghanistan in their fight againstthe common enemy of terrorism,” the statement added.
At least 43 people died in the hours-long gun and suicide attack on a Kabulgovernment compound, making it one of the deadliest assaults on the Afghancapital this year.
Another 10 were wounded in Monday’s raid on a site where the Ministry ofPublic Works and other offices are located.
