Security beefed up in Islamabad ahead of Accountability Court verdict against Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE – Security has been beefed up in Islamabad on Monday ahead ofannouncement of verdicts of Flagship and Al-Azizia, by the AccountabilityCourt (AC) filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against formerprime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo NawazSharif.

Reportedly, enhanced security plan included deployment of heavy contingentof security forces including rangers and 1,000 police officers,particularly around the Accountability Court premises in Islamabad to curba possible resistance by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supporters.

Moreover, only Sharif and his lawyers have been allowed to enter the courtroom.
