RAWALPINDI – The Young doctors Association (YDA) on Monday has given a newdeadline to the Punjab government.
As per media report, YDA gave 72-hour ultimatum to the provincialgovernment to remove Punjab Law Minister Raja Muhammad Basharat overallegedly threatening Medical Superintendent (MS) of Benazir Bhutto ShaheedHospital.
According to the details, YDA held an emergency meeting at Benazir BhuttoShaheed Hospital and threatened to hold protest demonstrations if the lawminister was not removed from his post within 72 hours. They also asked theminister to seek apology from the MS.
The doctors on Monday came to their routine duties while wearing blackribbons on their arms as a mark of protest against the minister.
Later, the Provincial Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid took notice ofthe threatening call to the MS and sought a comprehensive report fromRawalpindi Medical University’s vice chancellery.
