Maldives seize 6.5 million from former President over corruption charges

ISLAMABAD – In Maldives, former president Abdulla Yameen is underinvestigation for corruption after a court ordered accounts holding 6.5million dollars to be frozen.

Yameen who was defeated in a September election was interviewed forallegations that he received 1.5 million dollars in illicit payments duringhis failed bid for re-election in Indian Ocean archipelago nation.
