Pakistan refuse to budge before IMF and US pressure over CPEC, Chinese loans conditions

ISLAMABAD – Federal Finance Minister Asad Umer on Friday has given a clearmessage to IMF and America over CPEC projects reviews and relations withChina.

Pakistan will not review the CPEC projects nor budge to US and IMFconditions over Chinese loans and CPEC projects.

Umar said in an interview with Khaleej Times that Pakistan has come out ofeconomic pressure with the help of PTI led government s new economicpolicies and friendly countries.

Finance minister added while talking about International Monetary Fund(IMF) that Pakistan is not in haste to sign a deal with IMF.

When we feel that the IMF is in Pakistan s interest it will be signed onlythen, he added.

“If we compare our current account deficit with previous year it willdecrease from $ 6billion to $7 billion,” Asad Umer asserted.

However; finance minister has made clear USA and IMF s all concernsregarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) saying that Pakistan hasno intension to renegotiate CPEC while Saudi Package is not aid, but theinvestment from which the Saudi Arabia will make a fair profit.
