RIYADH – President Dr Arif Alvi and Saudi King Salman-bin-Abdul Aziz held ameeting in Riyadh and discussed bilateral relations, regional situation andissues of mutual interest.
According to a Foreign Office statement in Islamabad, the two leadersexpressed satisfaction at the renewed impetus in relations between the twocountries.
The President said the close bonds of friendship and brotherhood enjoyed bythe two countries are based on shared faith, culture and values.
He acknowledged the common positions that the two countries have on manyregional and international issues.
Recalling the recent visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia,the President hoped that the bilateral relationship would be furtherstrengthened in the days to come.
King Salman underscored the importance of time-tested Pak-Saudirelationship and termed ties between the two brotherly countries asexcellent at all levels.
The King also commended the positive role played by Pakistani expatriatesin the progress and development of Saudi Arabia.
