NAB unveils three pronged strategy for corruption eradication from Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Chairman National Accountability Bureau Justice (Rtd) JavedIqbal has said corruption undermines economic development and deprivesdeserving persons from their due rights.

In a statement on Saturday, he said Pakistan is committed to United NationsConvention against Corruption in eradicating it through its three prongedAnti Corruption Strategy of Awareness, Prevention and Enforcement.

He said NAB since its inception received about 3, 99,861 complaints fromindividuals and private or public organizations. He said that NAB’s primefocus is on cases of cheating public at large by fraudulent financialcompanies, money laundering, bank frauds, willful bank loan defaults,misuse of authority and embezzlement of state funds by Government servants.
