*ISLAMABAD – Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad, will visit Pakistan on March 23along with a delegation of investors.*

According to sources, during Mahathir’s state visit, the two countries willsign memorandums of understanding and investment accords.

Mahathir is visiting Pakistan on special request of Prime Minister ImranKhan he had made during his visit to Malaysia last year.

Mohamad was formally invited on Nov 29, 2018 by Pakistan to visit thecountry. Pakistani High Commissioner Nafees Zakaria met the dignitary anddelivered an invitation to the Malaysian PM on behalf of the country.

The invitation was a follow up of a verbal invitation from the PrimeMinister Imran Khan to his Malaysian counterpart during his two-day longvisit to the Southeast Asian country.

The Pakistan’s diplomat told Dr. Mahathir that Prime Minister Khan wascontended with the outcome of his visit to Malaysia.

While addressing a joint news conference with his Malaysian counterpart inKuala Lumpur on Nov 21, PM Imran Khan said Pakistan wanted to learn fromMalaysia’s experience of turning around economy, trade, and development inother sectors.
