In a first, Indian Army Chief confesses ceasefire violations at LoC

*NEW DELHI – Indian Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Bapin Rawat confessedthat India is spying on Line of Control (LoC) at Pakistani boundaries.*

Speaking to annual conference on Thursday, Gen Rawat admitted the fact thatIndia does send quad-copters over the LoC with a purpose of spying. “Ourtwo quad-copters were shot down by Pakistan,” he informed.

The Indian army chief also affirmed that India is involved in ceasefireviolation on the LoC, despite being aware that the civilian populationlives in proximity on the Pakistan’s side of the LoC.

Gen Bapin Rawat also admitted that the situation of Indian-held JammuKashmir (IHK) is “out of control”, adding that there is need to make betterthe situation in IHK. He said that Indian supported the peace processbetween the US and Afghanistan Taliban but it does not mean to negotiatewith Pakistan on Kashmir issue.

Meanwhile, he said that the negotiation talks only will held under theIndia’s conditions. “Everything is under control on the borders withPakistan and China. No need to be worry about the situation,” he mentioned.
