ISLAMABAD – The State Bank of Pakistan has responded over the media reportsof sending PTI undeclared bank accounts to ECP.
As per media report, SBP has denied a report published in *Dawnlink *that claimed that the ruling party isoperating at least 18 undeclared bank accounts across the country.
In a report, the paper reported that the SBP submitted a reported to theElection Commission of Pakistan, revealing that “the PTI is operating 26bank accounts in different cities of the country, but only eight of themhave been declared before the commission”.
Abid Qamar, the SBP’s spokesperson said that the central bank didn’t sendany report to the central bank about the “fake accounts” operated by theruling party.
He termed the media report “false”.
