ISLAMABAD – The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council(ECNEC) approved on Wednesday the revised project regarding operation ofBasic Education Community Schools (BECS) with a total cost of Rs 4058.158million.The meeting of ECNEC was held here presided over by Finance Minister AsadUmar.
The meeting had detailed discussion on matters pertaining to the projectand accorded approval for revised project clearing the previous liabilitiesand six months expenses of the current financial year up to December 2018.This will be subject to verification of personnel and facilities byNADRA/Distt., Administration concerned.
The Basic Education Community Schools project is based on non-formal basiceducation system where the community provides for the premises whileexpenses on teachers’ honorarium, utility bills, text books etc are met bythe Federal Government.
