Pakistan likely to make changes in playing XI against third test match in South Africa

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is likely to make two changes in the playing XI forthe final Test against South Africa, which will take place at Johannesburgfrom January 11-15.

South Africa have already got an assailable lead against the Men in Green,leading the three-match Test series by 2-0.

The fast bowling allrounder, Faheem Ashraf and the wicketkeeper-batsman,Mohammad Rizwan are expected to make their way into the playing XI, whilethe legspinner, Yasir Shah and left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman are likelyto sit out.

The star performer for Pakistan in limited-over cricket, Zaman managed toscore only 20 runs in four innings, he opened the inning thrice, whereasbatted in the lower middle-order in the second inning of the Cape Town Test.

On the other hand, Yasir Shah who has been phenomenal for Pakistan in Testcricket could not get any sort of assistance from the wickets in SouthAfrica and could take only one wicket in 32.4 overs in three innings.

The 26-year-old Rizwan has been in top form with the bat, playing forPakistan ‘A’ in First Class and List A games against England Lions in theUAE.
